Strings Attached is South Florida’s premier contemporary cello and piano duo, creating fresh arrangements and compositions that encompass elements of jazz, classical, folk, Latin, R&B, and hip-hop. Kevin’s jazz background, blended with Stephanie’s classical background and their shared love for great music, is the breeding ground for the innovative arrangements and compositions of Strings Attached.
The concept of Strings Attached was created around the idea of adding “musical attachments” to their cello and piano foundation. Such attachments to the ensemble often include violin, drums, bass, and/or vocals. On any given performance, Strings Attached can oscillate between an intimate duo and a large symphonic ensemble.
An elegant and versatile ensemble, Strings Attached maintains a healthy balance between performing at high-end luxury events and putting on community performances.
Notable performances include a two-month residency at Palapa, where they produced a Stevie Wonder symphonic tribute show; annual concerts for The Barnacle Historic State Park’s “Moonlight Concert” series; The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts’ music series “Arsht on the Road”; The Broward Center for the Performing Arts for both private and public functions; the Pérez Art Museum Miami’s Thursday music series; live radio broadcasts at the WDNA Jazz Gallery; Sofar Sounds Miami; the Clazz Music Festival in Italy; Rockwood Music Hall in NYC with Project Trio; and Lincoln Center Education’s Art-Share in NYC.
