Sada Walkiria (Cuba-Benin) began playing the cello in 2002 Then in 2004, she was awarded the First Prize in Amadeo Roldan Provincial Cello Competition. She was one of the musicians that performed at the welcoming of Pope Benedict XVI to Cuba.
Also she participated in the National Cuban String Competition UNEAC (in the category of 16 to 35 years old) where she was awarded the third prize and the opportunity to perform as a soloist in the classical music festival of the City of Matanzas with the Orchestra of the same name. She has performed for worldwide recognized musicians such as Wynton Marsalis, New World Symphony Orchestra, the Borodin Quartet, and Yehuda Hanani. In 2017, she performed at the Latin Billboards Award with the pop artist Jennifer Lopez and in 2020 she performed at the Super Bowl with Shakira. Also in 2021, she played at the Grammys Sounds of Change event.
Sada Walkiria graduated with a Bachelors and Masters in Cello performance at Florida International University under the studio of Jason Calloway where she was given the graduate performance award for her performances at the university. She currently serves as a teacher/mentor to several students in the miami area.
