Emily Maddox began performing at a young age under the mentorship of Ira Sullivan and continued her studies at the University of North Florida with the internationally-renowned drummer for Gary Sinese’s Lt. Dan Band and Pat Metheny’s original drummer, Danny Gottlieb.
Emily has opened for Niki Dawson, a contestant on NBC’s “The Voice” and was featured on Univision’s “Premios Juventud” with Eiza Gonzalez, “Pee Wee” Salinas, and Chiquis Rivera. She also performed as a solo artist during the opening ceremony of the Davis Cup Tennis Tournament, the premier international team event in tennis.
Over the past few years, Emily has performed with artists such as Christian McBride and his trio, Julio Iglesias, Rita Moreno, Vanessa Williams, Alicia Hall Moran, John Pizzarelli, Marcus Printup, The Brecker Brothers Reunion Band, Ed Calle, Conrad Herwig, and Alon Yavnai. In addition, she has had the privilege of being privately mentored by world-class drummers such as Willie Stewart, Rodolfo Zuniga, John Yarling, Ulysses Owens Jr., Tootie Heath, Alphonse Mouzan, and Duffy Jackson.
